Our Wedding

Our Story

Emily and Mark’s story began in 2015 while working part-time at a local pet store. After Mark discovered that Emily’s favorite meal is breakfast, he secured a first date at the Stirling Diner—and the rest was history. The two stayed close throughout college despite the distance between schools. In 2018, Mark dusted off his passport for his first-ever international trip to visit Emily while she studied abroad in Florence. Together, they navigated the streets of Italy and Denmark, sparking a love for travel that has followed them ever since. After graduation, they explored Japan—hopping through Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka—before settling into their first jobs in Manhattan. They moved into their city apartment in 2021, spending their weekends restaurant-hopping, exploring museums, and frequenting local dog parks (despite not actually having a dog of their own at the time). In 2023, they crossed the river to Jersey City. Surrounded by parks and greenery, it was only a matter of time before they finally added a third member to the family: @TeddytheHungarianFrenchBulldog. Emily and Mark are so excited to celebrate their marriage with their favorite people in the city they now call home!

Please note that transportation will be provided for those of you located in the northern NJ suburbs - details are below! There are a few other hotel options in the area outside of our hotel block if you prefer to stay elsewhere. Below you'll find hotel details, transportation details, and a few parking garages nearby.

Transportation will be provided from the Long Hill Township Library. Please arrive no later than 4:45pm as the bus will depart at 5PM. If you'll be riding the bus, please send us a text to 908-581-6299 so we can ensure there's a seat for you! The bus will be leaving South House to return to the Long Hill Township Library by 10:15PM.

Please book your hotels directly through the link below (under 'website') by April 8, 2026. Located in downtown Jersey City, this hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from the restaurant. If you so choose, the Marriott offers valet service. Note that the booking link is defaulted to 2 nights, so please update accordingly for your stay.
